FirePower Wet Dhemical fire extinguishers - with key points

The FirePower Wet Chemical Fire Extinguisher (Model 260A) is capable of extinguishing a cooking oil or fat fire of up to 75 litres in size and has a 13A fire rating for all round safety and embraces the 35kv di-electric test.

It comes in EN3 red with official canary yellow colour coding.

This extinguisher has a user friendly 6 litre size and is supplied factory filled.

The fine spray gives almost immediate flame extinguishing whilst wet chemical agent reacts with the oil to form a soap-like film to seal the surface of the oil and cool it down.

This Wet Chemical Fire Extinguishers is Kitemarked to BS EN3,  

 This extinguisher is suitable for Class A & Class F fires.

Wet Chemical Fire Extinguishers - Key Points:

- Red Body with a Yellow Label 

- Specifically designed for use on cooking oil fires and fat fires

- Can be used on Class A fires (paper, wood & textiles)

- Extinguishes fires by smothering and cooling (mist spray reacts with the oil/fat) 

- DO NOT use on fires involving electricity (conducts electricity by jet/pooling)

Wet Chemical Fire Extinguishers are suitable for Class F fires (cooking oil fires and fat fires) and can also be used on Class A fires (paper, wood & textiles).  It extinguishes the fire by smothering and cooling, a fine nozzle creates a spray that reacts with the oil or fat)

Wet Chemical Fire Extinguishers are NOT TO BE USED on Class B fires (flammable liquids such as petrol) unless specifically stated to be useable on such fires, on Class C fires (flammable gases, for example, butane and methane) or for fighting fires involving electricity.
